The Consulting Engineers of Ontario presented Klohn Crippen Berger with an Award of Merit in the Environment category in Ottawa on June 2nd. Awards were given for innovative engineering design. It was one of ten awards handed out last night by CEO, which represents more than 240 engineering firms from across Ontario and is the recognized voice of consulting engineering in the province.

The Project
Vale Inco retained Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd. to lead the engineering design of a Water Management System to improve environmental performance at its large, 100-year-old integrated mining complex in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. The most notable accomplishments of this unprecedented Canadian-Mining collect-and-treat project include enhancing public safety and protecting the environment, while lowering life cycle costs.
