Having started as geotechnical engineers in 1951, today KCB is an internationally-recognized engineering and environmental services firm working in the power, mining, environment, water, transportation, oil sands, oil and gas and municipal sectors. Our focus is the integration of engineering and the environment, reducing the cost and risk of business for our clients. Our professional staff are active in the international technical community and KCB is a strong supporter of local communities. KCB is structured under three main business sectors: Power and Transportation, Mining Environmental and Alberta. We have several subsidiary IEG companies that provide services in the north of Canada with aboriginal joint ventures. Through our association with The Louis Berger Group (LBG) we can call upon more than 3,500 professionals in at least 100 locations worldwide. LBG specializes in the environment, transportation and infrastructure sectors.

We are the recipient of more than 40 national and international engineering and environmental awards for major projects. In 2008, we were named as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies, and since then, have successfully maintained our standing.

As a provider of high quality services, we have, since 1999, a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) that meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard and guides our professionals to carry out projects to meet client expectations on a consistent basis.
