Senior Geotechnical Engineers or Engineering Geologists – Alberta Group
Calgary and Edmonton, Canada The Calgary and Edmonton offices of Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd. (KCB) require Senior Geotechnical Engineers or Engineering Geologists to support the growth of our Oil Sands and Oil & Gas Groups in Alberta. We have numerous world-class projects underway that require the additional support of experienced industry professionals. We are looking for technical leaders who have experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams, managing projects, mentoring and training staff, sustaining excellent client relationships and developing the business. These positions will suit individuals interested in a diverse mix of challenging technical and project management work. · join a dynamic company of motivated and hardworking professionals committed to delivering high quality engineering and environmental services · develop, review and approve technical specifications, drawings and design reports and tender packages for major tailings dams, mine waste facilities, and oil & gas infrastructure projects · work on multiple projects with clients from concept design, through construction and commissioning stages · provide input to and prepare conceptual and detailed engineering designs, engineering studies, feasibility studies and condition assessments · lead and mentor a group of seasoned geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists and technicians and enable you to gain experience and grow your career · site exploration, tailings dam design, tailings planning, and mine pit slope design · foundation design for oil & gas and mining infrastructure · demonstrated report writing skills and solid contract administration and excellent project management skills · excellent verbal and written English communication skills · ability to work effectively with a team of professionals and with a range of clients · strong interpersonal, time management and organization skills · demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, providing project strategy and direction to the team and client · comprehension and application of strong business ethics and health, safety and environmental principles · energy and passion for developing and servicing world-class mining environmental engineering projects

If you have a Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology, are registered or able to register as a Chartered Engineer or related designation, and have 10 years of geotechnical experience, we want to hear from you.
