KCB's multi-disciplinary teams design and build projects to be protective of the environment and efficiently constructed, operated and closed. Since the 1960s, we have been providing innovative and sustainable solutions for the mining, oil & gas, and oil sands resource sectors, from concept to closure.

As designers of some of the highest tailings dams in the world, KCB specializes in mine waste management and has been responsible for more than 200 storage facilities worldwide in all types of climatic, geographic and social settings. Our Alberta Group is principal designer for many of the major oil sands tailings projects and provides geotechnical, hydrotechnical and environmental services for the oil & gas sector.
