Our Growth

In 1951 Charles F. Ripley, a Harvard-trained soil mechanic engineer formed Ripley & Associates. The following year he hired Earle Klohn and Cyril Leonoff who went on to offer their clients engineering specialists in soil mechanics and went on to develop significant relationships with key clients. For example, Ripley and associates provided foundation engineering for major pulp mill expansions for H.A.Simons, which led to a long term relationship and eventual integration.
