KCB Edmonton has assembled two teams to participate in the
Fallen 4 Marathon on June 2nd in honour of fallen officers, Constables Peter Schiemann, Leo Johnston, Anthony Gordon and Brock Myrol.
The communities of Mayerthorpe and Whitecourt were devastated by the deaths of these four young RCMP Constables on March 3, 2005. The memorial marathon honours the sacrifice that these men made and proceeds from the event are used to support these communities.
The race will start at the Fallen Four Memorial Park in Mayerthorpe and end in Whitecourt. KCB has entered a two person relay team and a four person relay team. The two person relay consists of two legs of 21 km each. The 4 person relay consists of the following four legs:
- 12.1 km
- 9.4 km
- 12.4 km
- 8.1 km
