Calgary Humane Society 2014

KCB employees dig deep to support animals in need. On June 20th, staff from our Calgary office joined other local volunteers to create a new outdoor green space for the animals to enjoy while they wait for their forever homes.

The Calgary Humane society is the sixth shelter in Canada to benefit from an outdoor restoration by Paws for the Planet, a joint initiative by Purina and Evergreen to make the world a greener, safer place for people and their pets. Paws for the Planet, now in its fifth year, celebrates a partnership between Purina and Evergreen established to create a better, greener world for people and their pets. The Calgary Humane Society, one of the city’s oldest charitable organizations, has been providing care for surrendered, neglected, abandoned, and abused animals operating since 1922. In 2013 alone, more than 5,325 animals came through CHS’ doors. The Calgary Humane Society continues to work for the animals with the aim of preventing and suppressing cruelty.
