Michael Cyr appointed as New CDA Vice President

Michael Cyr, P.Eng. has been appointed as the new Vice President for the Canadian Dam Association (CDA). Michael has been an active member of the CDA – Director of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island and Director at Large since 2013, and actively involved since 2011 with the Fredericton Conference Organizing Committee, started the young professionals committee in 2014, and is part of the Mining Dams Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and Risk Assessment Working Group.

Michael is a Geotechnical Engineer and Associate based in KCB’s Fredericton office. He has over 16 years of experience in geotechnical and environmental engineering and has been involved in dam safety reviews and dam safety inspections, dyke/dam design, geotechnical investigations, construction supervision, dam safety and operational risk assessments for the mining industry.

The Canadian Dam Association is a group of Owners, Operators, Regulators, Consultants and Suppliers interested in dams and reservoirs. CDA provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and experience in the field of dam safety, public safety and protection of the environment.
