Simon Douglas Appointed as Vice President, Power & Transportation

January 12, 2022

VANCOUVER, January 12, 2022 - Klohn Crippen Berger is pleased to announce that Simon Douglas, P.Eng., has been named Vice President, Power & Transportation. He takes over from Ryan Douglas, who has stepped into his new role as KCB President. Simon brings to the role 25 years of global civil engineering experience in the design and construction of hydroelectric and water resources infrastructure projects.

Simon joined Klohn Crippen Berger in 2005, working in the Power and Transportation business unit. In his early career at KCB, he worked as a project engineer on several of KCB’s biggest hydroelectric projects including the Nam Theun 2 Hydroelectric project in Laos and the Snoqualmie Falls Redevelopment project in Washington state. He was later promoted to design manager and project manager roles, and in 2016 he became a KCB Principal.

For the past 5 years, Simon has served as KCB’s senior representative and project manager for the design and construction phases of the Site C Clean Energy Project – a world class mega project on the Peace River in BC, and one of the largest hydroelectric projects currently being constructed in Canada.

In his new role, Simon will lead the execution of Power & Transportation’s strategic priorities including the expansion and diversification of our services in key market sectors and geographic regions around the world.

“I am pleased to welcome Simon as the new Vice President of Power & Transportation. His vast technical experience and demonstrated success in managing some of our largest infrastructure projects will contribute greatly to the continued growth of KCB globally,” said Ryan Douglas.

“Being appointed to lead the Power and Transportation Business Unit at our illustrious company is a true honour and privilege, and something that I am both grateful and tremendously excited to be taking on. I look forward to working with our dynamic team and moving the group forward,” said Simon Douglas.
