The Pembina River crossing is located northwest of Edmonton, Alberta, on a section of river where multiple pipelines cross. A large scour hole downstream of a bridge exposed some of the pipelines.
Klohn Crippen Berger provided an analysis of available hydrometric data, aerial photographs and site surveys to evaluate the current conditions as well as historic conditions and produce remediation recommendations to the two exposed pipelines in this section of river.
