Based in the Fredericton office, Michael has over 16 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and project management. He has been involved in dam safety reviews and dam safety inspections, dyke/dam design, geotechnical investigations, construction supervision, dam safety and operational risk assessments for the mining industry.

Michael is Vice President for the Canadian Dam Association (CDA). He has been an active member of the CDA – Director of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, and Director at Large since 2013, actively involved since 2011 with the Fredericton Conference Organizing Committee, started the young professionals committee in 2014, and is part of the Mining Dams Committee, the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and Risk Assessment Working Group.

Education

Michael has a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering from The University of New Brunswick and he is a registered professional engineer in New Brunswick. Michael is a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute.

Fun Fact

One of Michael’s favorite spring hobbies is collecting maple water from the trees on this property and making maple syrup for his family.
